Come explore music with composer Tim Russell! This workshop explores listening as a full bodied practice that recognizes our sonic environment as a limitless resource for movement generation. “We’re All Ears” offers us a communal and creative musical experience.
Mindfulness Through Movement Simone Ferro 2:30pm, Open Level
This class will invite participants to investigate their movement potential as experienced through the lens of myofascial work, proprioception, and the development of equanimity and empathy with one’s body. Mindfulness of the body will allow us to examine and nurture our relationship with ourselves and with our humanity. The goal is to investigate the interaction of our bodies and our community to promote our self awareness as creative citizens. *Encouraged to bring tennis balls and yoga mats
What is Dance/Movement Therapy? Amanda Timm 4pm, Open Level
This class is for anyone interested in learning more about the field, whether you are interested in seeking DMT for yourself as a therapeutic treatment, are interested in becoming a dance therapist yourself, or just curious to learn more. The purpose of this class will be educational and NOT therapeutic in nature. We will learn some fundamentals behind the theory, and do a few exercises as a group.

Musical Theatre Dance Mae Daniels 3pm, All Ages Musical Theatre Dance is rooted in the diverse history of dance in Broadway musicals. In this class, you will learn the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage- emphasizing performance skills such as connecting with the audience with facial expressions.

Introduction to Adult Dance Amanda List 10am, Beginner Class consists of a 15-20 min warm up and stretch that evolves into the development of dance/movement skills. Class finishes by weaving these movements into creative choreography. Introduction to Adult Dance is a super FUN class- one that strives to create a comfortable atmosphere- an opportunity for adult students to feel empowered!

Dancing-the body thinking; Poetry-the buildings of words Janet Lilly & Susan Firer 1:30pm, Open Level In this interactive workshop, Janet Lilly will explore with participants the interplay of words and movement in choreography. Inspired by the writings of Lilly’s longtime collaborator, poet Susan Firer, participants will develop short performance pieces using imagery, sense and nonsense, architecture, rhythms, and repetitions as jumping-off points for interdisciplinary collaboration. All levels of experience welcome.
